Cherie’s Journey

Our guest for March was Cherie Guerney, who showed us her incredible journey through her crafting and quilting journey.

Cherie has been interested in challenging herself right from the beginning, which is shown by her picking up complex crafting challenges first and foremost, such as the dress she made herself as a teenager for her first attempt.

She bought some examples of her early quilts, and quilting work which showed her improvement and the development of her style which is in demand today as a long arm quilter.

We were treated to some beautiful quilts made by her clients that she has been honoured to quilt.

Cherie has also put together a guide for how to prepare a quilt top for quilting which is available in How to prepare your Quilt top

Classes will be starting on 28 May. Fyvie will be doing her in demand set in circles class, and Helena will be doing a handwork class on her small Christmas trees and decorations. Keep an eye out for more information!

We also had a fantastic Show and Tell, and were treated to three completed Block of the Month quilt tops.
