Who are we?

Wellington Quilters’ Guild was established in 1990, initiated by Frances Stone, and became an Incorporated Society in 1992.

We meet during the week to cater for those who are time-poor in the weekend.

Our guild is community minded and enjoys getting together to share the love of crafting. We share tips and techniques, and have a lot of fun together.

The objectives the Guild is established for are:

• To provide for the continued association and fellowship of the guild members.

• To encourage and advance the skills and techniques in the art and activity of patchwork and quilting.

• To provide tuition by local, national and international tutors for all levels of ability of the members.

• To conduct such social, educational and promotional activities of patchwork and quilting as the Committee may from time to time approve.

• To support such outreach programmes as the Committee may from time to time approve, having considered the costs involved, the support of members and other relevant factors.

• To do such other things as may be necessary to the attainment of the above objects.
